UDHAMPUR, Dec 3: District Police Udhampur today arrested a shop owner in Ghordi for bootlegging liquor.
Acting on specific information about selling/facilitating liquor consumption illegally at his shop by the owner to his customers, a Police team of PP Ghordi conducted raid and apprehended the shop owner namely Sunit Singh, son of Dhani Ram of Satyalta.
During search, 13 bottles of illicit liquor (750ml) were also recovered from the said shop. In this regard, a case FIR No. 116/2024 U/S 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Ramnagar.
