JAMMU, Dec 3: The Government Railway Police (GRP) have recovered the body of an unidentified woman from the railway tracks in Manwal area here.
On December 2, around 0045 hours, an unknown woman, aged around 25-26 years fell down from the running Ambedakar Nagar Special train (09321) and died on-the-spot at track Km pole number 31/24 in the jurisdiction of Police Station GRP Manwal, said a GRP official.
The body of the deceased woman has been shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College Jammu for post-mortem and identification purposes, he said.
Wheatish in complexion and around 5 feet and 4 inches tall, the woman was wearing a green coloured saree and sandal in her feet at the time of her death, the GRP official further said.
The GRP official has sought help of the general public in identifying the deceased woman.
