JAMMU, Dec 5: The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, today visited the Special Operation Group (SOG) camps in the Bani-Machedi area of Kathua District to review the security preparedness of the police in the area.
He was accompanied by Inspector General (IG) CRPF Jammu Sector, R Gopala Krishna Rao, and SSP Kathua, Shobhit Saxena.
During the visit, the ADGP inspected the facilities, equipment, and training at the SOG camps in Lowang and Duggaini.
He interacted with SOG personnel and assessed the security arrangements, counter-insurgency strategies, and readiness to tackle emerging challenges in the border area.
The ADGP stressed the importance of continuous training to effectively handle security issues.
He urged personnel to stay alert and take preventive actions against crime and terrorism.
He also encouraged teamwork and coordination with other security agencies to ensure the safety of the region.
