JAMMU, May 12: As part of bringing development in the remote areas of Rajouri district, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under Romeo Force, today provided furniture to Government Middle School, Khankhari, district Rajouri.
In recently held interaction between the Indian Army and locals, the latter had requested to the former for provisioning of basic furniture to the school in order to improve the infrastructure, teaching and learning environment. Taking consideration of people’s request, the Indian Army undertook this noble project on priority and school was presented with forty double seater study desks with benches, one table and two chairs.
The furniture items were provided in presence of Shani Begum, Sarpanch of Khankhari village, civil officials, Sarpanchs, School Principal and locals from the area. Arshab Hussain Sher, School Headmaster, appreciated the efforts by the Indian Army for giving a new face lift to the school.
