JAMMU, May 13: A youth allegedly tried to end his life by hanging himself at his residence in Chand Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nowabad police station.
As per police sources, Ashwani (30), son of Kasturi Lal of Chand Nagar, Jewel allegedly tried to end his life by hanging himself at his residence.
Finding him hanging, family members rescued him and rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Nowabad police station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
