JAMMU, Dec 13: Former Jammu Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria, following the directions of MLA Dr Narinder Singh kick started the development work at Gangyal area in RS Pura-Jammu South Assembly constituency.
This development work included laying of tiles in the lanes and drains works will be done under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that this was a long pending demand of the local people and this demand has been fulfilled. He said that the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) is taking special care of the drainage system and solved the water logging problems. He said that a delegation from this area contacted him with the demand about two months ago and he immediately instructed the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and today the construction work of drains and lanes was started. He said that the drains are being constructed keeping in mind the norms, so that there is no problem in future. Billawaria said that the work being done by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in the city now has no shortage of quality and this work will provide relief to the people for decades, not years. He said that no Government till date has done as much development work in Jammu city as the Modi Government has done. He listened to the demands of the general public of the area and assured that all their problems related to water supply, development of lanes, drains, and sanitation will be resolved as soon as possible. He assured the people that many other projects in the area will start soon and will be completed in a time bound manner. The local people expressed their gratitude to Billawaria for fulfilling the long pending demand of the area. Mandal president, Ranjit Singh, Rakesh Sangral, Ashok Kumar, Rajinder Chib (Poppy), Dr. Kuldeep Gupta, Sherry Kumar, Punjab Singh, Anu Saini, Ajit Singh and others were present.
