Deport Rohingyas

Sir,
The Jammu Police crackdown on Rohingya settlements highlights a pressing concern in addressing illegal immigration. While national security is paramount, measures must respect human dignity and legal frameworks.
Rohingyas fleeing Myanmar persecution have sought refuge in India, but their growing numbers in Jammu spark security and socio-economic concerns. Allegations of identity fraud and illegal activities necessitate urgent action.
A multi-pronged strategy is crucial: enhancing border security, expediting identification, enforcing tenancy laws, and diplomatic efforts for repatriation or resettlement. Strict yet fair implementation is essential.

Sir,
The Rohingyas who fled from Mynamar due to their persecution a decade ago and some of them have illegaly taken refuge in some locations in Jammu. As per news published in the paper the administration disconnected their water and electricity connections but later on restored them. Not doubt they are illegally settled here even then they are entitled for basic human rights like food, water, electricity, right to work and right to marry etc. These basic human rights are enjoyable to all human beings on account of their humanity alone as per the International Human Rights law. We have just celebrated the Human Rights Day to strengthen our resolve to respect these Rights. Dr Farooq Abdullah in a statement also said that it is the responsibility of Government to provide the basic amenities like water and electricity to Rohingya refugees residing in the region. No doubt they are threat the security of our UT/country. So the central government and the Foreign Affairs Ministry should take viable measures immediately to deport them to their country of origin till then they should not be made to lose their basic human rights like food, water and electricity etc.
