RAJOURI, Dec 17: The police today arrested two persons here and recovered 18 grams of heroin from their possession.
Reports said that a police team from Rajouri, led by SHO Abid Hussain Shah, during routine checking and frisking at the Salani Naka intercepted two individuals moving under suspicious circumstances.
Upon their personal search, 18 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession. The arrested persons have been identified as Vaneet Sayal, son of Om Parkash, resident of Androla, currently residing at Ward No. 4, Salani and Sourav Kumar, son of Rajinder Kumar, resident of Muradpur.
A case under FIR No. 544/2024 has been registered at Police Station Rajouri under relevant sections of the NDPS Act (8, 21, 22, and 29) against them.
