JAMMU, Dec 19: An interaction-cum-workshop on “ Eat Right Initiatives & FSS Regulation” was organized by Food and Drugs Organisation for Industrialists at Bari Brahmna Industries Association Bhawan today.
Hashmat Ali Yatoo, Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration J&K was the chief guest on the occasion. Besides him several other officers attended the one day interaction cum workshop on Eat Right Initiatives & FSS Regulation for Food business fraternity and interacted with members units, gathering from ICDS and various departments.
He also inaugurated the stall displayed by various Departments including Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, ICDS, Social Welfare Department & stalls displaced by BBIA Member Units including Sarveshwar Overseas Mills, Nav Bharat Flour Mill, VKC Nuts, Farm Fresh Milk.
Lalit Mahajan president, welcomed Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration J&K, officials of Food Safety Department & BBIA Members in the Food Business and drew the attention of Commissioner in respect of various issues related to Industrial Sector like road freight subsidy to explore the domestic as well as International market of various Food & Pharma products being manufactured by Industrial units of J&K.
The gathering was also addressed by Ravnish Gulati, Gagan Jain, Archit Puri, from Industrial Units, Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Jt. Commissioner, Food Safety Department J&K, Madan Magotra, Dy. Commissioner Food Safety Department, Jammu.
During discussions, Hashmat Ali assured the members that Department will work to resolve the issues related to Industrial Sector on priority basis.
The meeting was also attended by Satish Kaul, Chairman of J&K Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association and Resident Director, Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd; Ajay Langer vice president, BBIA; Viraaj Malhotra general secretary BBIA, Pankaj Soni Dy. Commissioner Food Safety Department, Jammu, Rajan Kapoor, Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety Department, Jammu and a large number of members from Food Processing Manufacturing Units along with their employees.
A camp was also organized to register new vendors and licenses were distributed among new vendors by Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration J&K.
