JAMMU, Dec 19: The Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the LJK Economic Growth And Development Dialogue (LEAD), a platform of first of its kind.
LEAD is a Citizen’s initiative of like-minded individuals & professionals working on the promotion of investments towards sustainable development of the Union Territories of Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir.
The objective of this MoU is to set out a framework for the participants to cooperate in the areas of investment promotion, sustainable development & economic growth in region of Jammu by leveraging respective core competencies.
The participants resolved to cooperate towards the conduct of studies, research, and organize various capacity building activities across the districts of Jammu and Kashmir with an objective to identify investment opportunities and to measure the potential of growth in various sectors of the industry. They envisioned showcasing business opportunities in J&K to potential investors and drive strategic sector-specific investments from private sector stakeholders across India and the world. The common defined area was also to promote cooperation through the execution of joint activities and exchange experiences to strengthen institutional knowledge.
It was decided to exchange information and best practices with respect to investment promotion and facilitation amongst various stakeholders by way of organising seminars, conclaves, and summits jointly.
This MoU shall remain effective for five years and will come into force upon on January 1, 2025 and will remain effective till December 31, 2029.
The Vice Chancellor, CLUJ, Prof K S Chandrasekar; Registrar Ankur Mahajan; Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Naveen Anand; Controller of Examinations Prof Ranvijay Singh; Deans of various faculties and Principals of five constituent colleges were present on the occasion.
LEAD was represented by the eminent social activists, including Harinder Gupta (Board Member), Sanjeev Sharma (Board Member), CA Rajeev Gupta (Board Member), Alankrit Mahajan, Ramansh Billawria & Amullya Gupta.
The signing of document holds promise for various progressive initiatives in future to effect the welfare of the student fraternity.
