RAMBAN, Dec 19: Police here today arrested a drug peddler from Banihal area and recovered 10 gms heroin from his possession.
Sources informed that Police under the supervision of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh while on a Naka checking duty in Banihal town intercepted a person moving in suspicious circumstances and during his checking 10 gms heroin was recovered from his possession and he was arrested on the spot.
The drug peddler was identified as Waseem Ahmed, son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Adipora, Sopore.
Police has registered a case in this regard in FIR No.191 of 2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act at Police Station Banihal and started investigation.
