JAMMU, Dec 20: One person died and two sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Jammu district today.
A scooty slipped off the road at Circular Road in Jammu, resulting in injuries to two persons identified as Raghav (17) son of Mithul of Jhullaka Mohalla and Yuvraj Singh (19) son of Rajinder Singh of Tallab Khatikan, Jammu, said a police official.
They were taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where one of them, Raghav, was declared as dead on arrival while the other youth is undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.
In another accident at Dhammi, Nagrota area near Chandi Mata Temple, the police official said, one Jagarnath Raina (70) son of late Dina Nath Raina of Flat Number 6, Block 110, Lane Number 19, Jagti Colony suffered injuries when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.
He too has been admitted to Government Medical College Jammu, where he is undergoing treatment.
Police have registered separate cases under the relevant sections of the law at the concerned police stations and started further investigations into the matter.
