JAMMU, Dec 20: National Art Exhibition organized by J&K Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu in collaboration with Kala Kendra Society, Jammu at Master Sansar Chand Gallery concluded here today with a valedictory ceremony.
Shakti Kumar Pathak, Director Ani-corruption Bureau, J&K was chief guest and Sanjeev Rana, Additional Secretary (Central Office), J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu was guest of honour. The exhibition was dedicated to veteran artist, Late (Prof.) T.S Batra, former Principal Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA), Jammu.
O.P Sharma, Director JKCCA and Dr. Javaid Rahi, Secretary, Kala Kendra Society, Jammu, artists and art lovers were present in the closing ceremony.
Tributes were paid to Late (Prof.) T.S Batra, who has been a veteran artist and contributed a lot in the field of art.
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of O.P Sharma and the entire team of JKCCA to bring out art and culture activities on regular basis.
Sanjeev Rana said that art and artists deserve promotion and appreciation.
O.P Sharma, Director JKCCA informed that JKCCA is completing 25 years of its functioning and is celebrating silver jubilee this year.
Art works of the artists including Yashwant Patel, Pratima Singh, K.S Gill, Dharminder Sharma, Bhushan Kesar, Jang S. Verman, Richa Gupta, Kanwalnain Bhan, Ashok Mehra, O.P Sharma, Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma, Virji Sumbly, Kanwalnain Kaur, Mohd. Moin, Anuradha Thakur, Neena Singh, Aslam Naqishbandi, Madhu Sharma, Swati Jain, B.R Bdade, Prof. Saroj Rani, Dr. A.K Dixit and Sheril Gupta were displayed in the exhibition.
