Coriander, kalaunji weaken on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, May 17:  Coriander and kalaunji prices fell up to Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Coriander and kalaunji prices fell up to Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 8,800-13,800 and Rs 9,800-11,800 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said low demand from retailers and stockists against sufficent stocks mainly pulled down coriander and kalaunji prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
Following were today’s quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 13,500-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 750-950, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,350-1,430 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,600.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 700-770, cardamom (colour robin) 690-750, cardamom bold 730-770, cardamom extra (bold) 900-970 and cloves (kg) 940-1,070. (PTI)
