JAMMU, Dec 21: A meeting of NC Women Wing workers was held at Bari Brahmana which was addressed by Bimla Luthra, former MLA and State vice president NC Women Wing. The meeting was organized by Savita and Mamta.
Addressing women workers in the meeting, Luthra said that NC has always been at the forefront of struggle for gender equality and it remains committed to ensure that women in J&K are empowered in every possible way.
She emphasized that women empowerment is not just a political slogan but exists in core principle of NC’s ideology.
The NC leader also said that women have a pivotal role to play in democracy as well as in shaping future of the State.
She said that the NC’s manifesto includes significant promises like providing Rs 5,000 per month to female heads of households in EWS families, one lakh jobs to J&K youths, free travel for women in public transport, 12 LPG cylinders per family per year to EWS families and provision of free 200 power units for every household.
The meeting was attended by Joginder Kour, NC District vice president Women Wing Jammu Urban, Bharti, Raj and others.
