JAMMU, Dec 23: The 69th Foundation Day of Northern Zone Insurance Employees’ Association (NZIEA), representing LIC employees of J&K was celebrated by NZIEA Srinagar division under the leadership of Pawan Gupta, divisional secretary of the Association.
The day was celebrated in all the offices of LIC of India across J&K.
Flag of the Association was hoisted by vice president of the Association, Dinesh Kumar Sharma at D.O Cell Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Gupta said that LIC employees under the banner of NZIEA have been able to protect LIC till date by struggles and it will continue to fight against the wrong policies of the Central Government.
He spoke about the sacrifices of previous leaders due to which the LIC employees have achieved due rights.
Gupta stressed on the need for broader level unity among the working class.
Rajesh Gupta, joint secretary; Rajesh Kumar, treasurer; Raj Kumar, office secretary; Priya Sharma, women sub-committee; Harkesh Kumar Singh, secretary Jammu-3 and others were also present on the occasion.
The programme was organised at Jammu-2 by R.P Singh, in Samba by Surat Singh, R.S Pura by Jagdish, Udhampur by Sham Singh, Rajouri by Vikas and Vinod Sharma, in Doda by Anmol Sharma, Poonch by Raj Kumar and in Kathua by Vijay Verma and Mohan Lal.
