JAMMU, Dec 24: Congress today took out ” Ambedkar Samman March ” from Ambedkar Chowk towards Divisional Commissioner office Jammu, seeking resignation and public apology from Home Minister Amit Shah for insulting the architect of the Constitution Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar in the Parliament few days ago.

As a part of the nationwide call of the party, senior Congress leaders of PCC, DCC and frontal wings took out ” Ambedkar Samman March ” to press for the demand of resignation and public apology from Home Minister. They raised slogans against the Home Minister Amit Shah and in favour of Congress Party and leadership of the party and fully supported the leadership to continue the struggle for seeking action against the Home Minister.
The March organized by PCC & DCC Jammu Urban, led by Working president Raman Bhalla alongwith Balwan Singh, Ravinder Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, DCC president Manmohan Singh, Ved Mahajan, Indu Pawar, Naresh Gupta, Yash Pal Kundal, Hari Singh Chib, Rajnish Sharma (Mian), Shashi Sharma, Satish Sharma, OBC Chairman Madan Dogra and other senior leaders raised slogans against Amit Shah seeking his resignation. The peaceful protest march started from the Ambedkar Chowk/ Panama Crossing Gandhi Nagar and marched towards Divisional Commissioner office.
Earlier. the Congress leaders garlanded the statue of Dr Ambedkar and raised slogans in his respect.
The police stopped the march just before the Div Com office, when a representative of the administration received the memorandum addressed to the President of India through divisional Commissioner seeking action against Amit Shah.
Talking to media persons Raman Bhalla working president reiterated the demand for the resignation and public apology from the Home Minister immediately. He said that the entire nation is hurt by the insulting remarks of Home Minister in the Parliament against the father of Constitution Dr Ambedkar but the Prime Minister is silent on this issue. The mindset of the BJP has come out open from the mouth of Home Minister Amit Shah, who used insulting words against Ambedkar..
Several prominent leaders took part in the protest march including Sanjeev Panda, Neeraj Gupta, Ranjit Singh Manhas Ricky Dalotra, Rajesh Sharma,Virinder Singh Manhas,Dr R K Khajuria, Dewan Chand, Latish Sharma, Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Keval Krishan Jogi,Jugal Sharma and others.
