DODA, Dec 24: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Harvinder Singh here today chaired a meeting to review the preparations for upcoming event ‘New Year Vibrant Bhaderwah 2024-25’.
The meeting was attended by officers from various departments along with representatives from adventure association, hoteliers, youth committees, tour-travel and trade associations, senior citizens, excursion agents, BATA Association and ABTA Association.
The event ‘New Year Vibrant Bhaderwah’ will be organized by District Administration Doda in collaboration with Tourism Department and it will be a three-day event starting from December 29.
DDC Doda informed that the event will showcase the scenic beauty and explore adventure opportunities of Bhaderwah.
He said: “The celebration will be held across prominent locations including Jai Valley, Guldanda, Bhaderwah Fort and Bus Stand Bhaderwah.”
A preparation for adventure activities at Guldanda including skiing, sledging, cycling, zip-lining, hot air ballooning, rafting etc were reviewed in the meeting. These activities are designed to attract thrill-seekers and promote Bhaderwah as adventure tourism destination.
A handout stated that the event will culminate at Bus Stand Bhaderwah with a grand cultural show featuring performances by local artists and a celebrity performance.
Departmental stalls and cuisine stalls will also be set up to offer visitors a taste of local flavours and crafts.
DDC Doda emphasized the importance of teamwork and coordination among all stakeholders to ensure success of the event and also invited everyone to participate in the vibrant celebration.
