RAMBAN, Dec 24: On the directions of Drug Controller J&K, Lotika Khajuria, the Drug Control Department here today inspected Medical Shops at Ramban town to ensure compliance with the directives regarding the installation of CCTV cameras and the implementation of computerized billing system and to ensure compliance with regulations regarding the maintenance of psychotropic drugs records.
During inspections, a team headed by Assistant Drug Controller, Sanjeev Kumar Gupta inspected Jan Aushadhi Kendra at District Hospital Ramban and Chemist Shops of Ramban town.
Drug Control Officer Jammu, Tajver Singh emphasized that inspection primarily focused on verifying the installation of CCTV cameras and computerized billing system and it was observed that all the inspected firms had installed CCTV cameras and adopted computerized billing system.
Drug Control Officer Ramban, Imitaz Ahmed underscored the significance of monitoring CCTV footage to verify that the cameras effectively serve their intended function of deterring improper practices.
A handout stated that the primary objective of these inspections was to safeguard public health and prevent the misuse or unauthorized distribution of drugs amongst the patients.
