DODA, May 18: Police today arrested a person along with 45 kilograms of forest produce “Nagchatri”.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Doda police station laid a naka and intercepted a passenger car bearing registration number JKO6-1939.
During checking, police recovered 45 kilograms of forest produce “Nagchatri” and arrested a person, who has been identified as Salam Din, son of Qasim Din of Gandoh.
The accused was smuggling the consignment of ‘Nagchatri’ to neighouring State.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Doda police station and investigation started.
Police party headed by SHO Pushpinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda Mohammad Sharief Chouhan.
