RJ Simran from Jammu found dead in Gurugram

JAMMU, Dec 26: Simran Singh, a popular Radio Jockey (RJ) from Jammu, known as RJ Simran, was reportedly found dead in her Gurugram-based apartment today.

The 25-year-old Singh, who is originally from Jammu’s Nanak Nagar locality, was discovered hanging at her apartment in Sector 47, Gurugram.
According to reports, a friend who was staying with Simran noticed her body and immediately called the police.
After completing the medico-legal formalities, Singh’s body was handed over to her family members, reports said.
With over 683,000 followers on Instagram, Simran was also affectionately known as “Jammu Ki Dhadkan” by her fans.
Her untimely death has left her followers in shock, and many have flooded her last Instagram post, a reel shared on December 13, with comments expressing their disbelief and sadness.
Sunil Kumar, SHO of Sadar Police Station, told news agency PTI that they got information at around 9:30 pm on Wednesday by a Simran’s friend who was staying in the same house.
A police team reached the spot and found Simran’s room locked from inside. They broke open the door of the room and found her hanging, the SHO said.
Her family members, who reached here after being informed about the incident, said that she was upset for some time, he said.
“We handed over the body to the family members after the post-mortem today. A probe is underway,” the SHO said.
