Mishra, Balwal get new roles in Delhi, Manipur

JAMMU, Dec 26: Two IPS officers who previously served as SSP Srinagar have been assigned new positions in Delhi and Manipur.

As per an order, Ashish Mishra, a 2013-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the North-East District in Delhi, an area adjacent to the Ghaziabad border.
Mishra has previously held roles as SSP Srinagar, SSP Anantnag, and SSP Pulwama, showcasing his extensive experience in handling critical law enforcement responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Rakesh Balwal, an IPS officer from Jammu and Kashmir, has been promoted to the Selection Grade Senior Time Scale in Level 13 of the pay matrix, effective January 1, 2025.
The promotion order was issued by the Governor of Manipur.
Balwal had earlier served as SSP Srinagar during his deputation to Jammu and Kashmir.
