Jammu, May 21: Former Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma, who contested from Jammu Poonch Parliamentary constituency on Congress ticket today thanked 362715 voters who expressed faith in his leadership.
In a press statement, Mr. Sharma conveyed his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to his voters particularly from Rajouri- Poonch who have voted for him despite propaganda and polarization. Mr. Sharma said that he is always available for the cause of humanity, poor and marginalized and vowed to emerge stronger in the times to come.
Mr. Sharma added that they will do retrospection meetings of the party infrastructural, development and social empowerment works done by the UPA Government in the country and by him for Samba, Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch. He said that he honour the verdict of the people and congratulated the new incumbents.
Mr. Sharma called upon the party workers and leaders to gear up for the forthcoming Assembly election due in November this year and hope that Congress will emerge as one of the largest party in the State and will form the next Government in Jammu & Kashmir. He also asked the anti party leaders who worked against the Congress despite being its member to refrain from anti party activities.
Mr. Sharma advised the State Government to adopt people friendly policies and take strict action on all the complaints of the corruption and non working. He said scrapping of new recruitment policy after poll results is a good lead taken by the CM and said that Congress always support pro youth policies where no one is exploited. He demanded early scrapping of new recruitment policy. He also demanded early regularization of all adhoc /contractual and those employed on ReT and ReZ pattern.
