JAMMU, May 21: A two-week long workshop on ‘Fluid Mechanics’ was inaugurated today by Dr Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar, at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus, Ropar.
The workshop has been organized by IET Bhaddal in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur.
In his inaugural address, Dr Arora said, “This workshop will enable the faculty to become competent in innovatively employing the tools of technology to supplement the traditional teaching methods and increase in student exposure to educational ICT through curriculum integration”.
He appreciated the efforts of IET Bhaddal Technical Campus for organizing the workshop and offered for joint collaboration for organizing more such workshops/FDPs with IET Bhaddal Technical Campus for all PTU affiliated colleges.
Chairperson, Kulwinder Gurcharan Singh, Academic Advisor, Dr SP Singh, Bhaddal Institutes and Director General, Dr R Jha also addressed the audience.
In his address, Director-General conveyed to the audience that IET Bhaddal Technical Campus in year 2013 organized 4 faculty development programs in collaboration with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, IIT Madras and IIT Mumbai and will organize another 3 such FDPs in collaboration with IIT Mumbai in current year.
Dr Rajneesh Arora also interacted with IIT resource persons at Kharagpur through ICT. Dr JS Kanwar, Director IET proposed the vote of thanks.
