AHD employees resent non-payment of 4-month salary

JAMMU, Jan 8: Employees of the Animal Husbandry Department (AHD) have raised serious concerns over the non-payment of their salaries for the past four months, highlighting the financial hardships faced by those under the National Pension System (NPS).
They expressed distress over the delays, which have not only affected their daily lives but also jeopardized their long-term financial security. Salaries are a lifeline for meeting essential expenses, supporting families, and planning for retirement through systematic contributions to the NPS.
A major issue highlighted by the employees is the disruption in the Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) contributions to their NPS accounts. These regular investments are crucial for building a robust retirement corpus, benefiting from compounding over time. The delay in SIP payments, according to the employees, has resulted in significant long-term financial losses, diminishing the growth potential of their retirement savings.
The employees have urged authorities to take immediate action to ensure the timely disbursement of their salaries and the restoration of SIP contributions into their NPS accounts. They emphasized that this step is essential not only to alleviate their financial burden but also to uphold the integrity of the NPS scheme, which is critical to securing their future.
They hoped for a swift resolution to the matter and appealed to stakeholders to support them in safeguarding their financial well-being.
