JAMMU, Jan 9: In a significant step to safeguarding public property, community resources and upholding public trust, senior BJP leader and MLA East Constituency, Yudhvir Sethi has facilitated the retrieval of nearly 4.5 kanals of encroached land in Bain Bajalta. The reclaimed land, belonging to the revered Shishu Samadhai, used for the cremation of children of the Hindu community, has now been restored to its rightful custodians.
The issue was brought in the notice of Sethi by the locals, who expressed deep anguish over the encroachment of this sacred space. Acknowledging the importance of the matter, Sethi took immediate action and worked tirelessly with the local administration to resolve the issue.
Following Sethi’s intervention, the land was retrieved in the presence of the tehsildar and handed over back to the villagers. This resolution not only underscores the MLA’s commitment to the welfare of his constituency but also highlights his dedication to preserving cultural and community landmarks.
Speaking on the occasion, Sethi reiterated his unwavering resolve to protect public assets and ensure justice for the community. “The Shishu Samadhai holds immense significance for the Hindu community, and its sanctity cannot be compromised. My team and I will continue to work relentlessly to safeguard such sacred spaces and address the concerns of our people,” he stated.
The villagers expressed gratitude to Yudhvir Sethi for his proactive involvement and determined efforts in reclaiming the encroached land.
