UDHAMPUR, Jan 9: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued four bovines at Madota Nallah in Ramnagar, here today.
Reports said that Police team of Police Station Ramnagar intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK14H-6904 during naka checking at Madota Nallah. Four bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported without any valid permission.
Sensing trouble, driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot. Police rescued all the bovine animals and seized the vehicle.
In this regard, a case FIR number 02/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Ramnagar.
