KISHTWAR, Jan 9: Police here today arrested a drug peddler at Model Naka Dhrabshalla and recovered 5.71 gram of heroin-like substance from him.
In this regard, SSP Kishtwar, Javaid Iqbal Mir said that during a routine naka checking at Model Naka Dhrabshalla, which was led by IC Model Naka under the supervision of Dy. SP Headquarters, Dr. Ishan Gupta, cops noticed suspicious movement of an individual coming from Thathri.
On spotting cops, the suspect attempted to flee but cops apprehended him and during his personal search cops recovered 5.71 gram of heroin-like substance.
The drug peddler was identified as Saleem Javed, son of Javed Iqbal, resident of Zewar, Kishtwar.
In this regard, a case in FIR number 11/2025, U/Section 8/21/22 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
