Rlys to run spl trains for Mahakumb

JAMMU, Jan 9: The Railways will run special trains from Jammu to Prayagraj in UP for Mahakumb.
Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh shared this information on micro-blogging site X, formerly Twitter.

“In response to our request to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for special trains for Prayagraj to attend the Mahakumb, it has been conveyed that a decision to this effect has been taken and soon the schedule of special trains will be announced’’.
“We owe it to PM Narendra Modi for having made it possible for the common citizens of this country, including Jammu and Kashmir, to live by their holy faith,’’ he further said.
Dr Jitendra Singh said he had received a representation from Sanatan Dharam community , J&K who demanded running of special trains from Jammu to Prayagraj (Varanasi) to participate in Mahakumb which is scheduled to take place after 12 years.
The letter said the Sanatan community eagerly waits for Mahakumb. The letter sought personal intervention of Union Minister in this regard and also demanded that the special trains being run in this regard should have stoppage at Kathua Railway Station.
The letter further appreciated the efforts of Dr Jitendra Singh to enhance public services for Jammu and Kashmir, especially for Kathua district.
