41 officials found absent

SRINAGAR, May 22: To ensure punctuality and regularity in the offices, surprise inspections were conducted in different districts of Valley.
At Pulwama, District Development Commissioner suspended 7 officials, after they were found absent from duty during a surprise inspection.
The Committee headed by Joint Director Planning, conducted surprise inspection of various departments and found 7 officials unauthorised absent from duty in the CA&PD Department, Employment and Counselling Centre, Municipal Committee and Programme Office Pulwama.
District Development Commissioner directed the officers of various departments to ensure punctuality in their offices.
Meanwhile, as many as 22 employees of Education Department were found absent from their duties in Tehsil Boniyar of Baramulla district.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, a team headed by Tehsildar Boniyar conducted surprise inspection of various schools and offices of Tehsil Boniyar.
During inspection, the team found 22 employees including Lectures, Masters and Teachers of Education Department absent from duty and recommended disciplinary action against them.
The inspection was conducted with a view to ensure smooth functioning and punctuality of Government offices as well as Government schools.
Concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officers were directed to take disciplinary action against the absentees as per rules.
At Budgam, Additional District Development Commissioner Budgam during a surprise inspection of various offices found 12 employees unauthorizedly absent from their duties and asked the concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officers to take disciplinary action against the absentees. He also impressed upon all the District Officers to ensure proper delivery system in all public services besides regularity and punctuality of employees.
