DODA, May 22: District Development Commissioner Doda Mubarak Singh today discussed and finalised the relief cases of the people whose houses were damaged due to natural calamity (floods/landslides/torrential rains) at a meeting of revenue and other officers.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Imam Din, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Doda Subash Dogra, Sub Divisional Magistrate Bhaderwah Bhupinder Kumar, Tehsildar Doda, Thathri, Bhaderwah, Gandoh and Doda besides other senior revenue officials also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, DDC stressed upon the officers to ensure that all the affected people whose houses have suffered damage due to natural calamity like floods, landslides and torrential rains are included in the list of beneficiaries so that the relief can be provided to them.
Threadbare discussion was held on various other issues including creation of new administrative units, land acquisition cases, illegal constructions and other revenue related matters.
The DDC directed all the officers to make coordinated and concreted efforts to expedite the disposal of pending land acquisition cases so that the developmental works are carried out smoothly in the district. Besides those land acquisition cases whose award has been made should be disbursed without further delay, he asked.
Mr. Singh also directed the officers to carry out revenue related works such as mutations, field book management, jamabandi, girdawari etc in prescribed time so that more transparency is brought in the revenue records for the benefit of people. He directed the officers to conduct field visits and mobilize their field functionaries to address the grievances of the people at their doorsteps.
