KATHUA, Jan 12: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) organized a teachers convention at Billawar in Kathua, wherein Dr Rameshwar Singh, MLA Bani was the chief guest.
Bhupinder Singh, UT president of JKTA, presided over the event and the convention was coordinated effectively by Sunil Bhardwaj, district president of JKTA Kathua.
The convention provided a platform for teachers to voice their opinions, discuss challenges, and deliberate on strategies to enhance the education sector. The JKTA reiterated its pledge to work towards empowering teachers, fostering student excellence, and contributing to the overall development of society.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Rameshwar Singh acknowledged the pivotal role of teachers in nation-building and emphasized the importance of their contribution to the holistic development of students. He assured the teaching community that their concerns and challenges would be presented to the Government at the earliest.
In his address, Bhupinder Singh emphasized the five core concepts of JKTA which form the foundation of the association’s mission including character building for fostering moral and ethical values among students. He also focussed on teacher education for enhancing professional development for teachers to meet the evolving needs of education and development and preservation of indigenous languages for safeguarding and promoting the rich linguistic heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhupinder Singh also highlighted the association’s ongoing efforts in securing the welfare of teachers while ensuring quality education for students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sunil Bhardwaj.
