Jr Asstts resent over delay in provisional list

SRINAGAR, Jan 14: Candidates who featured in the merit list for Junior Assistant positions, following an examination conducted last year by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), today raised concerns over the prolonged delay in the release of the provisional list.
A group of candidates told Excelsior that despite six months having passed since the merit list was issued, they are still waiting for the provisional list for nearly 300 Junior Assistant positions across various departments. “It would take hardly two days to prepare the list, but they are delaying it for unknown reasons,” said one of the candidates.
The candidates criticized the board for its inefficiency, pointing out that the recruitment process has stretched on for years. “We submitted our application forms in 2021 and 2022. The exams were held in 2024, and the results were declared shortly after,” a candidate explained.
They expressed frustration that despite the completion of the examination process, the JKSSB has failed to finalize the provisional list, leaving them in a state of anxiety and uncertainty. “We demand that the JKSSB immediately prepare the provisional list and initiate the joining process,” they said.
The candidates also appealed to the government to intervene and ensure that the recruitment process is concluded without further delays.
