BSP celebrates Mayawati’s b’day as Jan Kalyankari Diwas

JAMMU, Jan 15: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) celebrated the 69th birthday of party supremo and former Chief Minister Kumari Mayawati as Jan Kalyankari Diwas by organizing a program in the village Salher in Bishnah Assembly constituency today.
During this program organized under the chairmanship of BSP state secretary Tilak Raj Bhagat, BSP state president Darshan Rana was the main attendee. Apart from this, party’s state vice-president Charanjit Chargotra, state convener Gaurav Bakhsh, state general secretary Shashi Bhushan Thapa, Raja Singh and women unit workers were also present during this program. On the occasion, essential goods were distributed to the needy people.
In his address, BSP Jammu Kashmir president Darshan Rana said that like other states of the country, BSP supremo’s birthday is being celebrated as Jan Kalyankari Diwas in Jammu Kashmir too and in this connection, a program has been organized at the district level. Rana shed light on various schemes started by Mayawati during her stints as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
Rana asked the party workers to be fully prepared for the forthcoming Panchayat and Municipal elections in Jammu Kashmir. He said it is expected that after Panchayat/ULB elections, DDC and BDC elections are also to be held.
On the occasion, state secretary Tilak Raj Bhagat appealed to the party workers to take the Party’s policies to the common people. Before this, the Party’s deputy chiefs as well as other party leaders also expressed their views.
The party also organized programs in other districts of Jammu and Kashmir, and celebrated the birthday of party supremo Mayawati as a public welfare day. Programs were also organized by the party in other districts including Samba, Kathua, Hiranagar, Rajouri, Poonch, Nowshera and Ramban.
