SRINAGAR, Jan 15: Prominent social worker and “daughter of the soil” Rouble Nagi has been appointed as a member of the National Commission for Minorities (NCM), India.
An official letter issued by Iqbal Singh Lalpura (NMC Chairman) confirmed that Jammu-based Rouble Nagi has been nominated as a panel member of the commission. It is worth noting that Rouble Nagi is a renowned social worker, not only in Jammu and Kashmir but also across India for her impactful initiatives.
Rouble Nagi is also the founder of the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation, an organization renowned across India. The foundation undertakes initiatives such as educating underprivileged children, empowering women with employment opportunities, supporting orphaned children, and establishing tailoring and embroidery centers, with over a dozen functional centers in Kashmir alone.
