Four injured in gas cylinder blast

UDHAMPUR, May 24: Worker of a gas agency and three women consumers among four persons were injured in a gas cylinder blast at Christian Colony, Chabutra Udhampur.
The incident took place when a worker of Jai Mata Gas Service was carrying cylinders on his cycle for delivery of the same to consumers and one of the leaked cylinders caught fire. The women, injured in the incident, had gathered around for collecting the cylinders.
Locals shifted the injured to District Hospital Udhampur where condition of the worker, identified as Mohd Haneef (35) son of Gulam Husan of Batel Wallian was stated to be serious.
Other injured were identified as Luia (20) wife of Anwar Husan, Aster (59) wife of K.T.Pal, and Sarika (35) wife of Yesua.  All are residents of Ward number 17, Christian Colony Chabutra Udhampur.
Meanwhile, a labourer was seriously injured when shuttering of under construction building collapsed at village Battali in Udhampur.
The injured labourer was identified as Subash Singh (24) son of Suraj Singh of Majalta. People took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur and his condition was stated to be stable.
