Kichloo reviews development activities in Kishtwar

JAMMU, May 25: Chairing a high level joint meeting of district administration and prominent citizens, Sarpanchs and other senior social activists of Kishtwar, Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Home, R&B. MED, Housing, H&UDD, Tourism and Culture Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today impressed upon the officials to speed up the developmental activities in the district and work with utmost zeal to remove the bottlenecks to achieve maximum developmental targets.
The  meeting was attended by DDC Kishtwar Mohd Javed Khan, ADDC A S Chib, SP Sanjay Kotwal, ACR Sudershan Salaria, CPO Subhash Sharma besides officers of PHE, Health , PWD, PDD, GREF and others.
The Minister took a detailed review of core sectors including PHE, R&B, CAPD and Education. He sought detailed progress on the project from X-En PHE and directed him to start the work immediately so that the needs of people are met effectively. He also asked the X-En to fully utilize the existing schemes so that people may get respite from scarcity of water.
In regard to issues about condition of various roads in the town and periphery, the Minister asked the GREF authorities to start the maintenance work immediately. The Minister also passed directions to X-En R&B to immediately repair the damaged roads of the area and ensure good quality of work on all link roads.
Mr. Kichloo directed CAPD to ensure ration to far flung areas on priority basis as these areas are facing shortage of food items. The Minister also informed the meeting that issues regarding teaching staff will also be looked into on priority so that the shortage of teachers in far flung areas is met effectively.
