No decision be taken in hurry on retirement age: BJP

SRINAGAR,    May 25: While expressing serious concern over the statement of Pradesh Congress Chief Prof. Saif –ud- Din Soz that Congress wants to enhance the retirement age, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat senior BJP leader termed it as anti youth and anti employment move in order to help blue eyed boys of coalition who are on the verge of retirement.
In a statement issued here today he said this step will be at the cost of overall employment policy.
He said all the steps which are being taken by NC and Congress are totally based on the nepotism and personal interests and the latest example of this nepotism.
Mr Bhat reminded the Government that all party meeting which was held in Jammu four years before on age enhancement was attended by BJP, NC, Congress, PP, PDF, CPI, CPI(M), PDP and other independent MLAs in which unanimous view was taken against any such move. He expressed his surprise how Congress president Saif –ud- Din Soz’s  announcement without taking all the parties into confidence.
He demanded that overall retirement policy should be formed to accommodate all views of the different sections of the people especially youth while formulating recruitment and age oriented policies. Any step to be taken in hurry will create big confusion in the minds of youth which has no remedy.
He reiterated his stand that Indo Pak relations should be strengthened and Mr Modi’s invitation to Nawaz Sharief was a welcome step and Nawaz Sharief has reciprocated despite mounting pressure on him. He hoped now peace will have priority for which we have given numerous sacrifices.
