JAMMU, Jan 21: One person died under mysterious circumstances at his residence at village Daskal near Akhnoor in district Jammu today.
The deceased has been identified as Vishwamurthy (38), son of Rammurthy, resident of Daksal. The family members saw him dead in the room and informed the police about the matter.
The police team led by SDPO Sunil Singh and SHO reached the spot and took the body in its custody after spot examination and shifted the body to the SDH Akhnoor for post-mortem.
During preliminary investigation, it was found that there were blood stains on the body of the deceased and there were some injury marks on some parts of the body.
While the family members alleged that it was clear murder the Police has started investigation into the matter. The family and relatives have demanded fair investigation into the matter.
SHO Rohit Gandhi said that the body has been taken into custody and a preliminary investigation has been started. Blood has also come out of the mouth of the deceased, investigation is being done on every angle.
