Srinagar, May 26: Army Goodwill School at Balpora in Shopian today organized a programme on importance of education for girls.
Brigadier A Pramod Kumar said that when a girl is educated whole family is educated.
“We should come forward and make efforts for maximum enrollment of girls in the school so that they do not lag behind boys in this field,” said Brigadier Kumar, adding that he wants the Kashmiri girls to excel as has happened in other States.
Chief Education Officer and Principal of the school emphasized on using facilities and high quality education.
Besides, the participants also held a plantation drive for making the district green and clean.
