JAMMU, May 29: BJP and residents of Janipur today held a protest over uninterrupted power supply.
A protest rally by BJP activists and public led by State Secretary Munish Sharma and BJYM Janipur Mandal President Rinku Chouhan was taken out against the PDD for its failure to ensure uninterrupted power supply in Janipur.
The protestors blocked the traffic at the main chowk of the Janipur and were demanding immediate action against the PDD officers.
While speaking Munish Sharma said that Janipur area has been without electricity for last three days on account of burning of the transformer catering to the area.
“The burnt transformers were not repaired by the staff of the PDD till today despite continuous requests made by residents”, he added.
Among others present were Mohan Lal Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Ishant Mahajan, Chetan Mehra, Vikas Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, etc.
