JAMMU, May 30: A protest demonstration was held by residents of Rehari Colony at Master Devi Chand Municipal Park in protest against Poor maintenance of the park, insanitation lake of lighting arrangements. Some prominent citizens of the area also participated in the protest. Senior BJP leader and State Incharge of BJP Cells Sat Sharma (CA) and State publicity secretary Arun Chibber led the protest.
The protestors raised slogans against JMC for not maintaining the park in the way in which it is to be maintained.
Addressing protestors Sat Sharma (CA) said that the park has been a great source of healthy environment for the residents of Rehari Colony but the Municipality has failed to maintain the park. He said that people taking a walk in the evening face difficulty in walking due to lack of lighting arrangements.
Sharma said no facility of drinking water is available in the park where people face problem in Summer.
Vijay Gandotra, Sham Sharma, Mukesh Gupta, Munish Gujral, Kishore Chandan, Varinder Gupta, MK Bhardwaj, Naresh Sawhney, Munish Raja, Shubh Lata, Sheetal Gupta, Smita Chadda, Parveen Devi, Chanchal Gupta, Rani Devi, Ashi Sharma, Dr. Sudesh were among the prominent citizens of the area present in the protest demonstration.
