Mustard oil declines on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, May 31: Barring a fall in mustard expeller oil prices due to weak demand, other edible and non-edible oils held steady on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on scattered support.
Traders said low demand from local parties against sufficient supplies mainly put pressure on mustard oil prices to trade lower.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) oil weakened by Rs 30 to Rs 6,550 per quintal.
Following are today’s quotations per quintal:
Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,060-1,290.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,250, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,260-1,360, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 6,550, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,100-1,150, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,150-1,250,sesame mill delivery 9,000 Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,900, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,600, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,550, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,150, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,200, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,000 and Coconut (per tin) 2,650-2,780.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,700, Castor 9,450-9,550, Neem 5,300-5,400. (PTI)
