17 bovines rescued, 3 held

BHADERWAH, June 1: Police rescued 17 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Bhaderwah police station led by SHO BS Manhas laid a naka at Sarna and intercepted three vehicles bearing registration numbers JK02AW-4765, JK19-1922 and JMU-AU-1099.
During checking, police rescued 17 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers, who have been identified as Irshad Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani of Chinar Mohalla Bhaderwah, Mohammad Rafiq, son of Mohammad Shafi Gujar of Dalwas Ramban and Liaquat Ali, son of Mohammad Shafi Bakarwal of Jhajjar Kotli. One of their accompliance identified as Mohammad Shafi alias Tita, son of Habibulla of Quilla Mohalla Bhaderwah managed to escape from the spot.
A case under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigations started.
