Talking to reporters here, today soon after conducting the party meeting to chalk out its future strategy for struggle, the Union president, P C Sharma said that the Union presented 14 points charter of demands before the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in February 2009 and after detailed discussions he declared all the demands genuine and passed his directions to the MoS Power to resolve all the issues well in time.
He said the Union after 2009 held series of meetings with MoS Power including Principal Secretary, PDD,  Chief Engineer, EM&RE Wing Jammu but Government did not resolve the small and genuine issues like holding of DPC and regularization of daily wagers.
Highlighting the problems of the power employees, he demanded regularization of daily wagers with creation of sufficient new posts as per the requirement of the increased infrastructure of PDD, releasing 5000-8000 PR technical grade to all ITI diploma holders in terms of SRO 149 of 1973,conducting of DPC meeting every year for the promotion of employees, amendment in service recruitment rules of PDD in 1981 and retrospective effect to the already regularized daily wagers in terms of SRO 64 of 1994.
