10-day long Yog Shiksha Shivar concludes at Nagdandi

ANANTNAG, June 2: The 10-day long Yog Shiksha Shivar organized by Shri Ramakrishna Mahasamelan Ashram (SRMA) V K Nagdandi, Kashmir concluded on May 30 with participation of 22 persons from J&K, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, NCR, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
The Ashram founded during 1937 by Swami Ashoka Nand Ji teaches and propagates Sanatan Dharma, the basics of which are humility, non violence, tolerance, self control, steadiness, simplicity, cleanliness and above all philosophical search for absolute truth, leading to self realization.
The other activities of SRMA like organizing Yoga Shiksha Shivars, festivals, bhandara and other social service within Kashmir have greatly helped in bringing back normalcy in the turmoil -torn Valley.
B L Bhat, chairman, Sri Ram Krishna Maha Samelan Ashram, Nagdandi Achabal said that under the four components of Shivar, 17 Botik theory sessions, 16 Yog Assan sessions and nine group meets were held with detailed deliberations on Karama, Raj, Sank and Bakhti Yog, Swami Vivekananda, Swami Eknath Ji, Indian culture, Rock Memorial Kanyakumari , Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta as Rashtriya Granth, Kashmir and Kashmiri Pandits.
Swami Kumar Ji was the chief guest during the concluding function and Rekha Davey Ji, general secretary Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari was the guest of honour. She highlighted the role of the Kendra in India towards man making and nation building.
She advised the participants to contribute their share in national integration which is the need of the hour.
Swami Kumar Ji lauded the efforts of the Ashram in taking various development works in hand. He urged the Ashram members to act as peace messengers in their respective states to promote humanism, nationalism and teachings of Sanatan Dharma.
