Retiring officers accorded warm, send off

SRINAGAR, June 3: A warm send off was given at a simply function held at PHQ this evening in honour of Chief Accounts Officer, Morar Jee Bhat, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Shabir Ahmed Shah and S Aujal Singh, on their superannuation. The officers superannuated on May 31, 2014.
The farewell function was presided over by the Director General of Police (DGP), K Rajendra Kumar and attended by IGPs, A.K. Choudhary, H.K.Lohia, S K Sharma and other senior police officers.
On the occasion, Mr Rajendra lauded the role of the superannuating officers for their dedication and professionalism. He said that these officers during their long service career in the department had a contribution for strengthening the department.
The DGP said that police headquarters will be always available for the retiring officers and whenever they require any assistance, they can approach the department without any hesitation. He wished them a healthy and prosperous post retirement life.
The ADGP (Headquarters), S P Vaid, who was present also addressed the function and appreciated the contribution of the superannuating officers and said that they have proved themselves very dedicated and people friendly police officers.
