Shivratri

Shivratri is a festival of reverence
Fast we keep with care and tolerance
We wait it from months together
To accomplish wishes to deliver
Shivratri is convergence of Shiva and Shakti
Sustaining tribulations Parvati sought Bhakti
Shivratri is celebrated with zeal and fervour
Everyone knows Shiva is their saviour
Cleansing houses till it reaches
Hustle and bustle in markets things people fetches
We decorate earthen pots in a room separate
Walnuts are put in pots few that generate
Cosmic energy let it be known
Mesmerising feat always it has shown
All through the night lights are lit bright
Waving of lamps from places distant we sight
Conches blow bells reverberate
Incenses burn camphor evaporate
Night is drawn long to recite hymns
“Of Shiva to save from rebirths and sins

A TALL TOWER IN DUBAI

Papa Told me a Tower’s name
Did he tell me its fame?
He took us to Dubai in winter vacations
To show us the same.
When I see the Burj Khalifa
Through my eyes
I glee at it while I feel delight
On seeing its beauty
I wonder how was it made
Amazing water bodies
Boats on the Lake
Visitors in large number
Happier than before, not fake
Desert flowers bloom like star
Everywhere, near and far
Reflecting its cultural pride
Pushes all monuments far aside.
Be big and tall to see you by all.
Visit Dubai to enjoy my recall.

The Paradox of Words!!

Some things are joy when unknown
Whereas some are suspicious even when known
Some words are unsaid when spoken
Whereas,some are said when unspoken
Some feelings shine through by not even saying a word
While some seems hollow when said hundreds of times
