KISHTWAR, June 5: Dulhasti Power Station of NHPC Limited, facilitated Bal Ashram, Kuleed, Kishtwar, being run by District Social Welfare Department under Corporate Social Responsibility-Sustainable Development Scheme of NHPC Limited.
NHPC Limited provided with need based material like kerosene heaters/fridge/ washing machine/dining tables/chairs /thermocots/ tracksuits and other sports material. The material was handed over during a simple function which was presided over by Arvind Bhat, General Manager, Dulhasti in the presence of S K Parihar, Senior Manager (Law), NHPC, Kaiser Bhawani, District Social Welfare Officer, Kishtwar, Officers of NHPC/ District Social Welfare Department and inmates of Bal Ashram, Kishtwar.
It is pertinent to mention that the inmates of Bal Ashram, Kuleed included orphans, destitute and militancy victims.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhat said that material has been provided to the Ashram based on the need assesment survey done by District Social Welfare Officer to make the inmates of the Ashram comfortable. He assured that all out efforts shall be made by NHPC Limited in future also to equip Bal Ashram with the required facilities.
Lauding the courage and spirit of the inmates who came across a great catastrophe in their respective, Bhat said that they are very strong and thus they should not feel lonely and further advised them to devote whole heartedly to their studies for giving their services to the nation.
In his address, District Social Welfare Officer, Kishtwar welcomed and thanked Bhat for providing much needed support besides encouraging the students.
