DODA, June 6: A BA student hailing from Nagri Doda drowned in Neeru nallah of the district.
As per police sources, a BA Part-II student namely Arun Singh Parihar, son of Lakhmi Chand of Nagri Doda was having bath with his two friends in Neeru nallah, when he accidentally drowned.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into service to recover the body.
After hectic efforts, the body was retrieved and shifted to District Hospital Doda, where after conducting autopsy, it was handed over to family members for last rites.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
